| Welcome to the official site for the Society of American Military Engineers' 2006 Joint Engineer Education and Training Conference & Expo! This year's national event was hosted by the SAME Louisiana Post, in the city of New Orleans, Lousiana. The Conference featured the inauguration of Lt. Gen. Carl A. Strock, P.E., M.SAME, Chief of Engineers and Commander, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, as SAME President 2006-2007. Gen. Strock heads the largest military and civil works engineering organization in the world, providing vital services to the United States and other countries worldwide. Gen. Strock reflected on military operations and rebuilding efforts taking place worldwide in response to natural disasters, and briefed us on what the future holds. |
