TOPIC: Construction in the CENTCOM AOR

Lieutenant Colornel Snead is the Chief of CENTCOM's Construction Branch and will discuss Construction in the CENTCOM AOR for this May meeting.

Lieutenant Colonel Snead was commissioned in the U.S. Army through the ROTC program at Florida Institute of Technology in May 1990. He comes to the Buffalo District from Washington, D.C., where he served at Headquarters, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a Special Assistant to the Chief of Engineers planning and coordinating world-wide trips and events.

Joint Engineer Training Conference & Expo. May 22-25, St. Louis, MO.

The 2012 JETC features six technical tracks addressing timely issues affecting the A/E/C, facility management and environmental fields. Three new tracks have been added for 2012:

Track 2: Sustainable Installations
Track 3: Sustainable Design and Construction
Track 4: Small Business (Working with DOD) *NEW*

SAME South Atlantic/South Central Joint Engineer Training Symposium: October 2-4, 2012, Tampa, FL

The conference theme for 2012 is “Net Zero Through Emerging Technologies” with technical tracks focusing on Building Technologies, Energy Consumption, Water/ Wastewater Management, Infrastructure Technologies, and Waste Management.

You will have the opportunity to connect with hundreds of your fellow government, private industry, public sector engineers and scientists who are working to strengthen America’s future through building and sustaining our military’s infrastructure. Representatives from many DOD agencies and organizations have already made commitments to attend this event, including the Air Force Civil Engineer Support Agency and the US Army Corps of Engineers South Atlantic Division.
