Meeting Presentations

The November SAME meeting featured a presentation by Mr. Herman Ledoux with Los Alamos National Laboratory on the Chemistry and Metallurgy Research Replacement Facility (CMRR). This is a DOE mission-critical facility designed to maintain and continue technical capabilities, such as analytical chemistry, materials characterization, and metallurgy research and development, and to relocated these capabilities from the existing Chemistry and Metallurgy Research (CMR) facility to modern laboratory facilities that meet or exceed current safety and environmental protection standards.  (Be patient, this presentation is a 20MB file.)

August 2011 ,Mr. Jon Hawkins of PNM made a presentation on the Photovoltaic Battery Project being constructed at Sandia National Laboratories

 

Sept 2011, Michael Huckaby presented the multi-year Aviano AB, Italy, revitalization effort.  History, Part I, Part II, Part III, Part IV.

October’s presentation by Mr. Richard Kaselow of AECOM was a presentation on A Practical Guide to Implementing Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) and Secure Environments in support of Mission Readiness.

GALLEGOS,  DR-IV (GS-15), A.I.A presenting an overview on the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) activity of consolidating the Space Vehicles Directorate Battlespace Environment Division to Kirtland AFB. This includes the events and actions that led to the Battlespace Environment Laboratory Military Construction (MILCON) project at Kirtland AFB and the timeline associated with it.

 

June 2010 ... SF330 information and techniques.  Don Luna

July 2010 ... presentation on the Bureau of Reclamation Rio Grande River Analysis by Mr. Robert Padilla, Supervisory Hydraulic Engineer.

August 2010 ...Presentation was about the recent deployment to Afghanistan for the 920th Engineering Company.  CPT Rudy Armijo, (Be patient, this presentation is a very large file and takes a long time to load).
