Welcome to the
SAME Coastal History The Coastal Carolina Post of the Society of American Military Engineers was revitalized on August 19, 2005 with a kickoff golf tournament. Our meetings are held the second Thursday of each month either at Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Lejeune or at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point from September to May.

Primer - DOD Standards of Conduct Office - Please Read ! This Primer ( Click Here ) gives general guidance regarding participation by DoD personnel and others in SAME. There are two distinctions pertinent to SAME. Activities undertaken by DoD personnel and others in an "official capacity" and activities undertaken in a "personal capacity". The nature of the relationship guides the permissible activities. There are many more restrictions on "official capacity" activities. One other major distinction to understand is between federal entities and non-federal entities. "Non-federal entities" encompass "private organizations". SAME is a "private organization" under these guidelines. Please read the short Primer .
