We are an association of multi-disciplined military and civilian engineers working together to better understand and provide solutions to our Nation's major engineering challenges.

Our members include Engineers, Architects, Contractors, Designers, Environmental Professionals, Landscape Architects, Marketing Professionals, Planners and other interested parties and organizations.

Established in 1963, the Fort Benning - Columbus Post is primarily made up of members living in West- Central Georgia and Eastern Alabama. Fort Benning is home to the Maneuver Center of Excellence(MCoE); which includes the Infantry School, the Armor School, Airborne School and Ranger School, the 3rd Infantry Division’s 3rd Brigade Combat Team, the 75th Ranger Regiment and the 11th Engineer Battalion. The MCoE announced “full operating capability” in accordance with the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure law on 15 September 2011. In addition, Fort Benning is home to an area office of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Savannah District. 

Currently the Post has 68 individuals.

We are thrilled with the significant growth Fort Benning experienced due to the recommendations of the 2005 Base Realignment & Closure (BRAC) law and the privatization of on-Post housing under the Residential Communities Initiative. In 2011, Fort Benning completed transformation to the Maneuver Center of Excellence, combining Infantry, Armor, and Cavalry institutional training. Our members are eager to promote SAME to the local community and this new growth offers exciting opportunities for the local Post. We encourage you to look over our Web site and consider attending one of our monthly meetings.
