Freedom Elementary is one of Cheyenne's most recently constructed elementary schools. Since August 2005, it serves as the neighborhood school for military children who reside on Warren Air Force Base. This newly constructed facility has wireless technology and many cutting-edge technological systems to enhance learning. The modern structure houses two sections of kindergarten, second grade, third grade, and fourth grade; five sections of first grade and one section of fifth and sixth grade.

Freedom Elementary coordinates a science fair each spring, with the top three projects from each grade level advancing to the districtwide science fair. The Frontier Post has supported the Freedom Elementary Science Fair by providing volunteers to judge student entries.
