Purpose of the Society

SAME brings together professional engineers and those in engineering-related fields:
  • To improve and increase the engineering capabilities of the nation;
  • To exchange and advance the knowledge of engineering technologies, applications, and practices
Engineers of all kinds, promote fun and fellowship, add those important professional and business contacts, and end up enhancing our profession, the military and the Nation.

The established SAME George Mason University Student Chapter is strongly supported by the professional society's Northern Virginia Post. Through this partnership, the NOVA Post has many benefits to offer the students of George Mason University: scholarships, networking, internships, future full-time opportunities, and mentoring and training from local engineering firms.
