2010 Post Awards
We
are in the process of receiving nominations for our 2010 Hampton Roads Post
Awards. Winners of our post awards will
then be forwarded for the national competition, with winners being recognized
at the 2011 JETC.
Nominations
will be accepted from now until 8
December and the post BOD will then select the winners at the 15 December
meeting. All the information on the
awards is available at the SAME National web-page, http://www.same.org/i4a/pages/index.cfm?pageid=3706 .
Below is a list of
each of the awards to help you and your firm think about your candidates. These awards are a great opportunity to
recognize great people in your organizations and the application process is
relative painless.

Bliss Medal for education and student mentoring.
Goethals Medal for pre-eminence in engineering, design or construction.
Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) Medal for outstanding leadership and contributions to military engineering and
in support of the SAME mission.
Post Service Medal to recognize significant and faithful service to SAME at the Post level
that has materially contributed to the Post success
Student Leadership Medal for outstanding leadership in support of student professional
development, mentoring and the SAME mission.

Technology Advancement Medal for initiative in the advancement and transfer of technology
