be made by the design/build team during lunch. A site visit will be held immediately following lunch.
Note: The contractor has
limited personal protective equipment available. Anyone that can bring their
own hard hat, safety vest, and safety glasses would be greatly appreciated. Safety shoes required.

Monday, April 26 - Annual Small Business Conference @ Norfolk Marriott Waterside
Details: Representatives from
government agencies and private industry will meet with minority-owned,
women-owned, service disabled veteran owned, HUB Zone, and 8(a) small
businesses working in construction, engineering, architecture, IT,
environmental, and manufacturing for “speed dating” style matchmaking
appointments… a perfect opportunity to meet government representatives and
potential large business partners and clients in just a few hours! Informative
sessions will also provide attendees with an overview of future government
contracting opportunities, current industry trends, and an overview of state, SWaM, and DBME required
reporting.
Membership
SAME Membership offers many benefits! Primarily the opportunity to meet and
share ideas with other professionals from the government and private sector with
the mutual goal of promoting a strong national defense. Most SAME activities are
sponsored through a local Post, which makes it important to affiliate with a
local Post to fully participate in SAME's many opportunities. The Hampton Roads
Post of SAME has 100 Sustaining Member firms and over 500 individual members. Our
primary gathering consists of a luncheon each month, featuring guest speakers
addressing a wide range of engineering and construction related topics.
