Join leaders serving the U.S. Forces Korea (USFK) and Combined Forces Command (CFC) at the 2010 Peninsula Engineer Conference, hosted by the Society of American Military Engineers. The conference will feature keynote speakers giving the latest updates on the transformation of the U.S. Korea Command and the Korea Relocation Plan (KRP). For the U.S. and Korean military, the 2010 PEC will offer two days of briefings on military engineer operations, construction and facilities management. The 2010 PEC will offer business opportunity briefings from the Far East District, US Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Department of Commerce, Installation Command-Korea, and networking with government officials from CFC, USFK and the Far East District Corps of Engineers, and their Korean counterparts. The 2010 PEC aims to: · Foster relationships and share competencies between both private and military sectors; · Increase the knowledge in military and other public sector organizations and agencies and the private sector in USFK & CFC Engineer missions; · Promote the USFK and CFC engineering vision, mission and future requirements to ensure the availability of private sector capability; · Enhance US-ROK alliance through dialogue, mutual understanding, and common pursuit of USFK/CFC engineering and construction goals; and · Stimulate wider interest in and participation by US and ROK business partners in performing the technical and professional mission of USFK/CFC. The event will be held from Wednesday, February 4th through Friday, February 6th 2009 in Seoul, South Korea. Hosted by the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), registration will be open on October 15 for 300 participants on a first-come, first serve basis. This year's theme is Transforming Korea. USFK is presenting speakers with the latest updates on Transformation to U.S. Korea Command and the Korea Relocation Plan.
