SAME GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

Goal 1: Emergency Preparedness and Infrastructure Resilience. Support joint engineer operations, emergency preparedness, response and recovery in the United States and aboard in support of the Nation Security Strategy and the National Response Framework.

Goal 2: Education and Training. Promote, enhance and reinforce the professional and technical competence of present and future SAME members through outreach, training and continuing education programs.

Goal 3: Relationships and Recognition. Faster inter-disciplinary, inter-agency, inter-service, international, and public and private sector sharing of information, technology and business practices, and recognize accomplishments of SAME members.

Goal 4: Leadership and Mentoring. Cultivate leadership competence and mentoring within SAME by providing opportunities for members to lead, serve and promote the development of SAME's vision at Post, regional and national levels while encouraging, acknowledging and highlighting outstanding leadership and mentoring examples.

 

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Men and women of the uniformed services may join SAME for a one-time membership fee; this new career membership is active for the duration of the individual's career in the uniformed services. Civilians employed by the uniformed services may join SAME at a substantially reduced rate for a 3-year or 5-year term. Click here to join SAME now.
