E-Week is approaching fast! This year's E-Week Banquet will be held on 4
February at the UWF Conference Center. The evening's events start at 6:00
p.m. Our guest speaker will be Dr. Ken Ford, Director, Institute of Human &
Machine Cognition and Chairman, NASA Advisory Council. Attire for the
evening is casual; all attendees are requested to wear their favorite
school's colors. This year we are pleased to hold our banquet in
conjunction with UWF ribbon-cutting celebrations for their new School of
Science and Engineering Building; those celebrations will be held 3-5
February.
As in year's past, our focus is to help grade school and high school
students discover the exciting worlds of engineering and technology by
relating practical applications of math, science, and engineering to the
world around them. Participation by local engineers and engineering firms
will greatly assist in this mentoring effort.
Cost for this event is $40 per person. For your convenience, payment may be
made by credit card through our website at
http://uwf.edu/computerscience/eweek2010.cfm. For cash or check payments,
or if you have any questions, please send us an e-mail to
Pensacola.eweek@gmail.com. We ask that all interested attendees please
sign-up by 29 January.
