2011 Engineering Scholarship Recipients
The Pensacola Post is pleased to announce the recipients of our 2011 engineering scholarships. Each of these local students received a $1,000 scholarship to further his or her education in the engineering field. This year we received 17 applications for the seven available scholarships. UWF Scholarship Endowment
SAME has established a need-based scholarship endowment at the University of West Florida for engineering students who reside in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. It is a non-renewable scholarship with preference given to veterans or active duty military personnel. Awards will be made by the Office of Financial Aid.
PJC Peter K. Wallek Scholarship Endowment
Peter K. Wallek scholarships are available to Pensacola State College pre-engineering students. This endowment is in honor of Mr. Peter K. Wallek, one of the original organizers of the Society of American Military Engineers in the Pensacola area. Mr. Wallek was a dedicated professional with the unique distinction of being both a professional architect and a professional engineer. This scholarship program is administered by PSC.
