The Pikes Peak Post scholarship program for 2010 is underway. An announcement
of the program was sent to all area high schools in November and applications
for the scholarships are due by 19 Feb 2010. The scholarship opportunity is
open to any student who plans to pursue an engineering degree and either is

parent, or grandparent) who is either: (1) An active SAME member, (2) A current
member of the U.S. military, or (3) Retired from the U.S. military. Applicants
must be high school seniors expecting to enroll in college for the 2010-2011
school year or returning college sophomores, juniors, or seniors enrolled in
a college or university for the 2009-2010 academic year. A copy of the scholarship
application can be found here.
In 2000, a total of $10,000 was awarded to six deserving students in amounts
of either $1,000 or $2,000. If you have any questions about the scholarship
program, please contact the Pikes Peak Post Education and Mentoring Chair, Steve
