Reduced Prices for Public Agency
and Public Sector Individual Memberships.
The
Board of Direction approved a revised dues structure for public sector
individuals and agencies at its meeting in May 2005. The new dues
structure for Public Agencies became effective July 1, 2005, reducing the dues
from $400 to $250 and simplifying the dues structure to eliminate the tiered
structure. Current Public Agency members will pay the reduced amount of
$250 when they renew their membership. The Board reduced the annual dues
for the public sector from $65 to $50, with additional discounts for multi-year
options. The new dues for public sector Individual Members will go into effect
Jan. 1, 2006, which is the annual renewal date for all Individual Members. These actions
are in support of the Society’s goal to increase public sector membership and
participation.

approved a new logo for the Society. Inspired by the organization's proud
history of supporting national defense, the logo incorporates the Society
acronym (SAME) with a patriotic theme of stars and stripes. The logo is a
contemporary design that compliments the traditional design of the Society
insignia. For more information on the new SAME logo see the September-October
issue of The Military Engineer. SAME HQ will be issuing
guidelines for Post use of the logo and insignia in mid-September. POC
for the SAME Logo is Eileen Erickson, Director of Communications &
