Society of American Military Engineers

The mission of the Society of American Military Engineers is to promote and facilitate engineering support for national security by developing and enhancing relationships and competencies among uniformed services, public and private sector engineers, and related professionals.

Who We Are

Centered in Rock Island, Illinois, the Rock Island Post serves the Upper Mississippi River Valley, with members in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Kansas, Indiana and Ohio. The post boasts over 250 individual members and over 35 sustaining member firms. Monthly meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month. In addition to hosting an annual golf outing and commander briefings, the post is also active in various community activities.

The August Post Notes.

Please join us for the 12th Annual SAME Rock Island Post Golf Outing on Friday, August 15 at the Geneva Golf and Country Club in Muscatine, Iowa. There will be a shotgun start at 8:30 AM. The fee is just $45 per person for public sector, and $65 per person for private sector. That includes a light breakfast and coffee, green fees, driving range, shared cart, and welcome packet with two drink tickets, lunch, a good chance at prizes and a certain chance of having a great time.
