The Post has an outstanding 2008 program.  The Rock Island Post regular meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 11:30am.  The Post Notes for each month list the meeting date, time, and location.  Find out more by viewing the 2008 Calendar.

•  Spouse Night, Awards, and Installation of New Officers. On Friday, January 18th, the Post convened for a special evening meeting at the Outing Club in Davenport, Iowa. Spouses and friends of post members were encouraged to attend. The evening featured a "Change of Command" ceremony. Mike Ryan received the Paul Norton Award for outstanding contributions to the Post as President and for contributions as Training Conference Chairman. Stanley Consultants was named the Sustaining Member of the Year. The evening ended with outgoing Post President Mike Ryan reflecting on a successful year, and incoming Post President COL Robert Sinkler sharing his vision for the post in 2008.

•  QCESC Banquet. On Thursday, February 21st, Post members attended the Quad City Engineering and Science Council's 46th Annual Engineers Week Banquet at the Putnam Museum in Davenport, Iowa. The keynote speaker was Kenneth J. Klabunde, Distinguished Professor at Kansas State University, who gave a presentation on Nanotechnology. Post members were able to tour the museum's Leonardo Da Vinci exhibit and the IMAX Theatre, where the presentation and awards were given. Post member Roger Less was awarded Senior Engineer of the Year, and the Post was named Society of the Year.
