Engineering & Construction Camps for Local High School Students

The Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), Rock Island Post is the proud sponsor of three Engineering and Construction Summer Camps designed to provide qualified high school students with hands-on experience in the field. Our goal is to promote engineering excellence and increased awareness among local high school students. The SAME Rock Island Post will pay the full tuition and airfare for three students who best fit the selection criteria. This is an opportunity for exceptional local students to meet similarly interested and talented youth from around the world.

The camps are being held at the U.S. Army Camp in Vicksburg, Mississippi, the U.S. Air Force Academy near Colorado Springs, Colorado, and the Naval Base Ventura County in Port Hueneme, California. The respective dates of the camps are June 8-14, June 27-July 3, and July 20-26, 2008.
