Bruce D’Agostino, CAE, and president of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) briefed Rock Island Post members and guests on December 13, 2007 on how the Certified Construction Managers (CCM) program operates and how it can benefit engineering and construction professionals. CMAA’s mission is to promote and enhance leadership, professionalism, and excellence in managing the development and construction of projects and programs. The Construction Manager Certification Institute, an independent administrative body within CMAA, operates a national credentialing program that has, through the end of 2007, identified nearly 1,000 professionals as Certified Construction Managers. CCM is the only professional certification program in the construction industry to be accredited by the American National Standards Institute.
