Scholarship Information

The Rock Island Post S.A.M.E. has a scholarship trust fund to promote engineering excellence and awareness among local graduating seniors. For 2008, the Post has a target of offering one-year scholarships at the $2,000 and $1,000 levels toward a college education in engineering or the associated sciences. The Post will award the scholarships to high school seniors who best fit the criteria. The benefits to these scholarships include sponsorship to SAME and future mentor connections that can be invaluable to the student. These scholarships are offered to graduating seniors from several local high schools in the Quad Cities Area.

The Rock Island Post shall determine the scholarship recipients in April based on applications received by April 1, 2008. Scholarships will be awarded at a SAME meeting, or at the school if time permits.
