FEBRUARY’S MEETING
The next Society of Military Engineers meeting will be on 16 February at 1130 at the Officers-club. Our topic will be the proper application of a Floor Coating. Our guest speaker will be Mr. Jones, from Sherwin Williamson. Elections will also take place.

Advance the science of Military Engineering through professional education & training.
Goal one – Using the Society’s Continuing Professional Competency Guide as a basis, provide professional development training and professional registration & licensure assistance for members. Provide professional training sessions leading to award of Professional Development Hour (PDH) credits.
Goal Two – Develop or expand and market your scholarship program. Award at least one scholarship per year.
Goal Three – Develop or activate a formal partnering/mentoring relationship with a school in your local area, or Conduct at least one educational program that helps young people understand the importance of engineering and engineering-realated professions.
Goal Four – Under the guidance of the Society’s Academy of Fellows, establish or enhance mentor-protégé activities for Young Members in your Post. Conduct at least one activity that provides a mentor-protégé opportunity.
Foster Mutually Beneficial Relations Between the Civilian Engineering Profession & Engineers in the Military Service through public-private partnerships, dialogue, & exchange of information.
Goal One – Develop activities that fulfill the current interests & needs of Post members. Also provide activities that expand their awareness of new developments in other sectors of public and private engineering and engineering-related disciplines.
Goal Two – Conduct cooperative technically oriented programs with other professional societies, or other organizations with which the Society shares mutual interests.
Goal Three – Conduct at least one outreach activity in conjunction with a governmental, private, or porfessional organization whose members may have little awareness of the Society. Promote dialogue that is mutually beneficial to members of both organizations and advertise the benefits of the Society that will appeal to non-members.
